چکیده
We study isothermal transport of a nonelectrolyte binary fluid mixture, which lies in the homogeneous phase near demixing critical point, through capillary tube connecting two reservoirs. Usually, one component is preferentially adsorbed onto wall, and adsorption becomes significant owing to large osmotic susceptibility. The mixture flowing out rich preferred when flow driven by pressure difference between When mass-fraction difference, total mass occurs presence preferential adsorption, means that diffusioosmosis emerges. These phenomena can be regarded as cross effects linked reciprocal relation. also these numerically using hydrodynamics based on coarse-grained free-energy functional, was previously obtained terms renormalized local functional theory. It shown particular conductance, or rate under given change non-monotonically with temperature.

Attractive interaction and bridging transition between neutral colloidal particles due to preferential adsorption in a near-critical binary mixture.
We examine the solvent-mediated interaction between two neutral colloidal particles due to preferential adsorption in a near-critical binary mixture. We take into account the renormalization effect due to the critical fluctuations using the recent local functional theory [J. Chem. Phys. 136, 114704 (2012)]. We calculate the free energy and the force between two colloidal particles as functions ...

متن کاملCritical End Point Behaviour in a Binary Fluid Mixture
We consider the liquid-gas phase boundary in a binary fluid mixture near its critical end point. Using general scaling arguments we show that the diameter of the liquid-gas coexistence curve exhibits singular behaviour as the critical end point is approached. This prediction is tested by means of extensive Monte-Carlo simulations of a symmetrical Lennard-Jones binary mixture within the grand ca...
متن کاملCapillary-to-Bulk Crossover of Nonequilibrium Fluctuations in the Free Diffusion of a Near-Critical Binary Liquid Mixture.
We have studied the nonequilibrium fluctuations that occur at the interface between two miscible phases of a near-critical binary mixture during a free-diffusion process. The small-angle static scattered intensity is the superposition of nonequilibrium contributions that are due to capillary waves and to bulk fluctuations. A linearized hydrodynamic description of the fluctuations allows us to i...

In this paper, we analyze the thermal radiation and chemical reaction impacts on MHD peristaltic motion of the Eyring-Powell fluid through a porous medium in a channel with compliant walls under slip conditions for velocity, temperature, and concentration. Assumptions of a long wave length and low Reynolds number are considered. The modeled equations are computed by using the perturbation metho...
